Weekend Distraction

Monday already?
We spent Saturday helping friends in Matakana, north of Auckland, with their olive harvest. I can't tell you how satisfying it is raking heavily laden olive trees and see the bins fill up so quickly. It's also so nice getting out of town, in the fresh country air, chatting with friends; you get fed and watered and thanked for your 'work'.
The girls rode the quad bike, fed the goats and the dog chased...everything.

But there was still time for some internet distraction, which unearthed this beauty...

This 1960's Desk Chair by Harry Probber is listed for USD 499 on One Kings Lane, here. No way could you find something like this:

a. available in New Zealand, or
b. at that price

And this pair of lucite chairs, also USD 499...gorgeous!

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, One Kings Lane only ship domestically so I am backing away from the computer.

Have a Happy Monday. Annie x.

  1. Sounds like a brilliant weekend. It is frustrating when you find amazing items, but they can't be shipped here without huge cost. But you're right, it's probably saving us a fortune! xxx

  2. What a heavenly weekend! It sounds quite therapeutic - all that fresh air.

  3. Hello Annie:
What a really splendid way to have spent the weekend. Activities such as you describe here are always great fun and it is indeed good to be out in the fresh air.
