I am such a sucker for a Before and After, so you can imagine my delight at finding "Before and After: Painted Furniture Best of of 2010" on Apartment Therapy this morning.  There's some really clever work on there, but one that really caught my eye, and whose Blog will be added to my Favourites List, is Centsational Girl.  Here's the cabinet she had posted on the AT 2010 list:

Centsational Girl cabinet makeover

Centsational Girl, aka Kate from Northern California, credits this "simple" transformation to priming (laminated surfaces), paint and crown moulding and I think the result is really smart.  This unit sits in her son's bedroom and I really do love her use of colour - both on the unit and the walls (and trim).

Do check out Centsational Girl's blog as she has some very clever and useful tips on there.  There is a whole section of Before and After (heaven) and she shows exactly how she achieves everything she posts.  Kind of Martha Stewart without the chambray shirt.
